Talent on Parade!

West Austin's Dance Company had an incredible weekend at Talent on Parade - Receiving numerous Diamond Elite (platinums) and Elite Top 1st (high gold), along with several special awards!  Our junior tap number received a close to perfect score taking their category, and 2nd place overall - only to be beaten by an all male hip hop group.  Our small group jazz also took their category - placing in the top 5 overall.  Our senior contemporary group took 1st place out of 36 contemporary numbers on their first time competiting the number!  Our trio and solos did just as well - Trio taking a Diamond Elite, and solos dominating!  Katherine took her category, third place overall, and the Title of Ms. Talent on Parade!  Courtney and Madeleine also placed in the Top 10, and Madeleine won the tap category!  Our senior solos were just as impressive.  Christa won her category along with 1st place overall in the intermediate division, with Amanda also placing in the top 3!!   Callie and Tori tied for 3rd place overall Sr. Ms. Talent on Parade, and Callie placed in the top 10 with her solo.  We also had several girls selected for the Talent on Parade TOP starz scholarship program - Christa Genung, Katherine Vescovo, and Callie Irons!  It was an incredible weekend!  Congrats girls!

VIP

There were hundreds that auditioned for scholarships at the VIP convention and Courtney Wilkins and Alexandra Goodell were among the few to receive them!  Congrats girls!!!

The West Austin Dance Academy had their first competition  at Starbound!  Thier soloist Madeline Montgomery took 4th place overall and has been asked to come perform in the opening number at Starbound Nationals.  So Hott - one of our junior small groups - took top in category, and 9th place in all the overall small groups, large groups, lines and productions!  We Are Very Proud of them!  Visit our team page for updates on them!
